Details are bad to someone like me, who has been training myself to embrace simplicity and picking one’s lines carefully and communicate information with only the amount necessary. That’s what I’m talking about. Line weight, contrast, and layered compositions are things that are always under consideration though.
Other people can do detailed line work good. I’m very decided though that it’s not one of my goals in my art making.
