Heavier than A Pound

Ignoring just about every Disney direct to video/DVD sequel ever, I admit that I don’t have much of a soft spot for Snow White, Cinderella, or Sleeping Beauty, probably because the title characters are pretty much cardboard cut-outs so I really don’t care about them.

However, I can at least tell you what happens in those movies and I know they entertained me enough as a kid.

Home on the Range, on the other hand, I barely have any recollection of, and it came out my junior year of high school. I’ve seen it, I know I have, but the only think I can tell you about it is that there are cows, and a dude that rode a bison.

What probably makes that movie sting the most to me was that it signaled the end of Disney’s 2D studio at the time, and pretty much stomped on my young high school dreams of getting into 2D animation (S’why I didn’t apply for art schools I had been interested in for years, not really having the foresight that the industry was going to be relatively okay).

So I guess that movie will always be marked with that bad experience for me, even if i can’t tell you what happens in it, haha.
